Note:

I apologize for any poor English or writing. This comes directly from my prayer journal, and at 5am I am not always the best writer, nor do I catch all my mistakes. However, I think Mrs. Hausner, my highschool English teacher, would be glad that I am at least still writing.

Staying in the Stream

This morning I am going back to a set of verses I have been praying over myself - from Paul's letter to the Colossians 1:9-14 NIV:

[9] "For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, [10] so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, [11] being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, [12] and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. [13] For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, [14] in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."

My prayer has been that I would be more aware of the Holy Spirit throughout my day, as I tend to lose focus on Him as I get caught up in the day to day busyness of my job.  I have been convicted, in a good way, of my greater need and sensitivity to His direction, guidance and revelation.

Life is so much better when we learn to walk in intimacy with the one who sees all and knows all, and has a plan and purpose for our lives.  He will lead us and guide us because He wants us to succeed!  He will help us because He loves us, and calls us His sons and daughters.  He will guide us, because He wants to use us to speak life and bring life to those in need, those who don't know Him, those that need to hear of His love.

Yes, Holy Spirit, help me to be attentive today, and help me to walk in the stream of Your presence, and Your guidance!
