Note:

I apologize for any poor English or writing. This comes directly from my prayer journal, and at 5am I am not always the best writer, nor do I catch all my mistakes. However, I think Mrs. Hausner, my highschool English teacher, would be glad that I am at least still writing.

Spreading the Load

(NIV)Numbers 11:16-17
The Lord said to Moses: “Bring me seventy of Israel’s elders who are known to you as leaders and officials among the people. Have them come to the tent of meeting, that they may stand there with you. [17] I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take some of the power of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them. They will share the burden of the people with you so that you will not have to carry it alone.

This section, where the Lord spreads Moses anointing, is important as it speaks of impartation and the desire of the Lord to raise up help. I think its helpful to know that even in Moses case the Lord always surrounded him with people to help him, I.e. Aaron, Miriam, Joshua, and seventy elders. We need to see in our lives that the Lord doesn't call us to walk out our lives and calls by ourselves, but rather puts people in our lives to help. This is a good model for life and ministry.

God wants to bring people along side us to spread the load. Let us lay down our independence and welcome the help.
